Habitat for Humanity of the U. S. Virgin Islands is a non-profit 501c(3) corporation, so all gifts are tax-deductible. Besides an outright gift of cash, there are many tax-wise methods of supporting our Virgin Islands affiliate.

Methods of Giving:

• Mail-in Your Donation:
  • Cash keeps us afloat and makes happy hearts!
  • We dislike always asking for money, but money makes this very worthwhile project grow! . Download our check or money order mail-in donation form. Then, mail your donation to Habitat for Humanity of the U. S. Virgin Islands, 5600 Corporate Place, Royal Dane Mall, St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands, 00802.
• Donate Online:
  • Please open your heart and purse to this tax-deductible project. Then, join us at our construction site and you'll see and feel the joy of giving! You can now donate online using your credit card. When donating online, remember to identify our affiliate by including U.S. Virgin Islands or our zip code of 00802. The funds will then be transferred to our account and used to build affordable homes locally.
  • We have contracted the services of a banking partner to process credit card donations submitted online. Our banking partner's secured server encrypts your credit card information so that it may be safely transmitted over the Web. Your credit card information will not be released by Habitat or its banking partner to any other party. Transmission of your personal and payment information is done via Industry leading Secure Socket Layers (SSL). This is to ensure that no third party gains access to your information while it is in transfer between your computer and our web site server.
• Donate Your Time:
  • The excitement is building!
  • We welcome skilled and unskilled people who would like to give some of their time to work on our various committees, work on mailings, help with office work, and of course, help build Habitat houses. There is almost nothing as rewarding as seeing a volunteer job come together! Join us in building that excitement!

• In Kind Donations:
  • Materials: You name it, we can probably use it! Blocks, lumber, sheet rock, nails, concrete, windows, doors, cabinets, floor covering, roofing, bathroom hardware, and kitchen fixtures, paint, office supplies, and stamps, among other things.   • Services: Our communications needs are growing! We are blessed with a couple of people who are generously donating paper stock and printing services for our printed materials. We are very thankful for that, but run the risk of asking for too much at times, so another printer donating services would be greatly appreciated. Contact: Selina Williams, swilliams@habitat.vi
• Corporate Giving and Sponsorship:
  • Giving: On the mainland, many firms match employee and/or client gifts to Habitat. Please call to learn how your company could do this. Contact: Executive Director, director@habitat.vi
  • Sponsorship: Sponsor a whole house, sponsor a sub-division of new homes, sponsor a series of work days on a particular site. Contact us to consider how best to match your generosity with VI housing needs. Contact: Executive Director, director@habitat.vi
• Securities:
  • Securities, either publicly or privately held, may be donated to Habitat for Humanity of the U. S. Virgin Islands . When appreciated securities are contributed, the donor may deduct the full fair market value and completely avoid the capital gains tax. Contact: Tom Bolt, tbolt@habitat.vi
• Land:
  • In many areas, land accelerates in value more quickly than inflation and often in excess of our awareness. Donating land may offer a very beneficial opportunity. Contact: Sharon Hupprich, shupprich@habitat.vi
• Annuities:
  • An annuity allows you to give to Habitat for Humanity of the U. S. Virgin Islands and subsequently receive fixed payments for life. The amount of your payments is based on the age(s) of the donor(s) at the time of the gift. • Charitable Remainder Annuity Trusts and Unitrusts:
  • You can make a significant gift now and still continue to receive income for yourself and /or beneficiaries. The remaining principal will help Habitat for Humanity of the U. S. Virgin Islands. • Life Insurance:
